Jewish Sheva Brachot Invitation Wording.
Frequently a separate day, a separate venue, and a wider guest list.
- Who invites
- Both sets of parents invite, named before the couple. Where a parent has died, the convention is to name them with a blessing rather than omit them.
- How it opens
- Be-siman tov u-mazal tov, with the Hebrew date set alongside the civil one
- Register
- Formal, and bilingual as standard — Hebrew and English given equal weight rather than one translating the other.
Sample wording
Written as common practice, not prescription. Take whichever is closest and change the parts that are not you — that is what these are for.
