Jewish · Vort / L’chaim

Jewish Vort / L’chaim Invitation Wording.

The formal betrothal, where the families commit and often fix the date.

Who invites
Both sets of parents invite, named before the couple. Where a parent has died, the convention is to name them with a blessing rather than omit them.
How it opens
Be-siman tov u-mazal tov, with the Hebrew date set alongside the civil one
Register
Formal, and bilingual as standard — Hebrew and English given equal weight rather than one translating the other.
