Hindu Roka / Sagai Invitation Wording.
The formal betrothal, where the families commit and often fix the date.
- Who invites
- The elders of both families invite, naming the parents and often the grandparents before the couple.
- How it opens
- Shree Ganeshaya Namah, or the family deity, written at the top of the card
- Register
- Warm and formal. "Request the pleasure of your company" is common; so is "seek your blessings", which reads more naturally in an Indian invitation.
