Hindu · Mehendi & Sangeet

Hindu Mehendi & Sangeet Invitation Wording.

The music and henna nights before the wedding.

Who invites
The elders of both families invite, naming the parents and often the grandparents before the couple.
How it opens
Shree Ganeshaya Namah, or the family deity, written at the top of the card
Register
Warm and formal. "Request the pleasure of your company" is common; so is "seek your blessings", which reads more naturally in an Indian invitation.

Sample wording

Written as common practice, not prescription. Take whichever is closest and change the parts that are not you — that is what these are for.

Traditional
Music, mehendi and far too much dancing.
