Tamil Wedding Invitation Website.
A Tamil wedding turns on the muhurtham, and it is often early — 5am and 6am ceremonies are ordinary. An invitation that gets the timing across clearly does more work than one that looks pretty.
The functions your invite has to carry
Every family keeps a different set, and skips some entirely. Tell us yours and we build to it — this is the common shape, not a rulebook.
- 01
Nichayathartham
The engagement, where the wedding date is formally announced.
- 02
Pandhakaal Muhurtham
The ceremonial planting that marks the start of proceedings.
- 03
Nalangu
The playful evening before, turmeric and games between both families.
- 04
Kashi Yatra
The groom’s mock pilgrimage, stopped by the bride’s father.
- 05
Oonjal
The swing ceremony, one of the most photographed moments of the day.
- 06
Kanyadanam & Muhurtham
The core ceremony, tied to the auspicious window.
- 07
Saptapadi
The seven steps.
- 08
Sammandhi Mariyathai
The exchange of respect between the two families.
- 09
Reception
Often the evening before, sometimes after.
What we build differently for a Tamil wedding
Early muhurtham, stated in a way guests act on
A 5:30am muhurtham means guests need to know when to leave, not just when it starts. Your invite carries the window and the practical timing around it.
Tamil month and star, not just a date
Many families think of the date by Tamil month and nakshatra. We can carry both that and the Gregorian date, so no one has to translate.
Tamil script done properly
Not an image of text. Real Tamil type that stays sharp, is selectable, and lets a screen reader do its job.
The wording
Invitations commonly open with an invocation to the family deity or to Ganesha, with the elders inviting rather than the couple. The Tamil month, paksham and nakshatra are usually named alongside the date. We set your family’s exact wording.
Languages: Tamil and English, bilingual by default.
